Winter 2026 Newsletter
Dear Cambia Palliative Care Center of Excellence Community,
As we move through winter and wait for spring, I am grateful for the energy and steady collaboration across our Center. This issue of the CPCCE newsletter reflects this ongoing work, highlighting strong partnerships, dedicated people, and a shared commitment to improving care for patients and families facing serious illness.
I am still energized by the tremendous success of our J. Randall Curtis Palliative Care Conference in November. The gathering brought together clinicians, researchers, trainees, and community partners for thoughtful learning and connection. The conversations that began there continue to shape our work, and we are thankful to everyone who contributed to making the conference such a meaningful experience.
Education remains central to our mission. In this issue, you will find information about upcoming Grand Rounds, including a special March session supported by the Farber Endowed Professorship in Palliative Care Education. We are also delighted to introduce the fellows who will join us for their specialty training in the coming academic year.
Our research community continues to thrive. We share recent publications from Center investigators and spotlight two exceptional research coordinators whose work supports much of what we do.
Finally, I want to acknowledge a meaningful transition for our Center. After three impactful years as CPCCE program manager, Claire Perry has moved on to her next chapter, welcoming an expansion of her family last month. Claire’s leadership, organization, and deep care for this community have been instrumental to the success of countless Center activities, and her contributions have had a lasting impact on our programs and community. We are grateful for her work and wish her well in this next phase.
Thank you for being part of this community and for the work you do each day. We hope you enjoy this issue of the newsletter and stay connected with upcoming opportunities to learn and collaborate.
Erin
