Fall '25 Newsletter

Dear Cambia Palliative Care Center of Excellence Community,

As we settle into fall, I’m looking forward to opportunities to gather together in community.  In just a few weeks, we will gather for the J. Randall Curtis Palliative Care Conference, which this year will be held in a virtual format that allows colleagues and collaborators from near and far to join us.  The conference honors Randy’s legacy not only by carrying his name but by continuing his work of bringing people together to advance the science, teaching, and practice of palliative care.

This issue of the newsletter includes details about the program and registration.  We begin Thursday evening with an in-person bonus hybrid event, presented in collaboration with the Department of Neurology and featuring Dr. Claire Creutzfeldt.  Friday’s virtual program includes keynote addresses from Dr. Maisha Robinson and Dr. Ashlee Loughan, small group sessions that cover a broad range of topics, and a closing panel on the future of neuropalliative care.  The variety and thoughtfulness of these sessions speak to the vibrancy of this community and the many ways we continue to learn from one another.
